Apple’s macOS Tahoe will give you a lot of new features — but it can also hide away the “Get Mail” button from the default Mail client. Here’s how to get it back.
How Do I? covers the basics, because we’ve all got to start somewhere.
For those who don’t like video instructions, that’s cool too. Here’s what you need to do in written form:
- Open Mail
- Right click in the toolbar (up where the “Compose New Message” Icon is)
- Choose “Customise Toolbar”
- From the pop-up window that displays, drag the “Get Mail” icon up into wherever you’d like on the toolbar. I favour to the left of Compose New Message, but it’s up to you.
- Click done to finish.
- Click “Get Mail” whenever you want to check your email (outside its normal polling frequency).
